Characteristic damage of Vehicles at Low Speed Collision

This thesis deals with documentation and analysis of the most common types of vehicle damage caused by collisions with fixed objects at low speeds. The characteristic damage analysis is based on performing custom crash tests using objects that are different in shape and material. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the comparison of performed crash tests with vehicle damage typical for collisions of two vehicles in so-called parking maneuvres. The analysis is then applied in the assessment of real traffic accidents, which were identified as insurance frauds during the investigation. The work can be further used as a basis for comparative databases.

This diploma thesis deals with the problems of insurance fraud in our society. The thesis is divided into several relatively separate sections. The theoretical part describes a basic characteristic, classification and origins of insurance fraud and it deals with a general description of perpetrators of fraudulent actions. An analysis of fraudulent actions in life and non-life insurance is carried out in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. This work characterises the importance and the mutual relationship between detection and investigation of fraudulent actions. It also highlights the facts which aid and abet insurance fraud. The aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis was to carry out an analysis of various insurance fraud cases in the realm of motor insurance according to the subject, object and the most frequent variants of fraudulent actions and consequently create a profile of the perpetrator of insurance fraud on the basis of the evaluation of the analysis. The practical case study of client’s expedient behaviour enables us to look on detection of the particular insurance fraud. The end of the diploma thesis deals with recommendations for the measures which should be taken to fight insurance fraud.
Impact Damage to Vehicles at Low Speed

The thesis deals with documentation of the most common types of damage of vehicles at low speed, so-called ‘parking manoeuvers’. An analysis of characteristic damage was based on tests published so far, the author’s own tests and an analysis of real insured events. The results of the author’s own tests are compared to the procedures of the insurance company in the cases of potential insurance claims. The output of this thesis is a comprehensive presentation of the results of the impact tests carried out by the author which serve for the use in the assessment of insured events.
Insurance Fraud

The aim of this master's thesis is focusing on the problem of committing insurance frauds in Czech Republic. It is divided into separated chapters. In the introductory part I focused on a theoretical explanation of the terms related to this topic. The following section focuses on explaining the classification and the source of insurance frauds, the reasons of committing these criminal offenses, and the general profile of the perpetrator. Furthermore, in the theoretical part, I outlined the ways of the insurance fraud investigations. The goal of the thesis was to focus on the factors directing to insurance frauds Therefore, the analytic part concentrates on the analysis and the evaluation/assessment of the given statistical data results related to insurance frauds. In the end, for a better understanding, I mentioned a few revealed cases of these criminal offenses, and suggested certain preventive arrangements/actions against their potential happening or their easier revelation (in the future). Finally, I evaluated by analyzing risk groups committing insurance fraud and the main factors that lead to insurance fraud.
Study of Mechanical Damaging of Car Bodies with Different Tools in Context of Insurance Fraud

This diploma thesis deals with a problem of insurance frauds in context with manipulated events. It describes the possible causes of committing this crime and the possibility of detection. In conjunction with the objectives of this thesis was carried out extensive experiments of mechanical damage of car bodies with defined tools. Origin of damage and its character were assessed in mechanoskopical terms. After that intentional damage of vehicles was compared with the declared traffic accidents and similar damage occurring at parked vehicles. This part can be used to create at a comparative database of intentional damage to vehicles in solving the technical acceptability of damage that is suitable material for use as an expert activities.
Windscreen Defects Analysis and Repair Possibilities

Theoretical part’s opening describes brief history of manufacturing of windshields and glass in general. Further in this part, key parameters and additional features are described as well as manufacturing processes of a modern windshield. Moreover, homologation procedure is clarified. The main focus of this thesis is technical description of typical damage of car’s windshield and investigation of its root causes, which may help to reveal insurance fraud. The thesis also outlines alternative way, which can be used to recover damaged windshield or, if necessary, to replace it.
Insurance fraud in the real estate market

This thesis deals with the problem of insurance fraud in the Czech Republic, focusing on insurance fraud in the real estate market. The work is divided into three parts. The first part involves a definition of the basic concepts of terminology used in the field of insurance, insurance fraud legislation as well as division, causes and investigation of insurance fraud. The second part deals with a statistical comparison and analysis of data within the insurance market, with a focus on individual regions of the Czech Republic and the identification of indicators of insurance fraud in these regions. The third part comprises deals with the calculation of indemnity during the claim settlement and the issue of insurance fraud in the real estate market.
Insurance Fraud - Real Estate

This diploma thesis deals with insurance fraud committed in both civil household insurance and real estate insurance. The actuality of insurance fraud and also the fact that this theme is very intriguing, is what drawn me to this topic. The first theorethical chapter offers a general description of insurance fraud. The second chapter then deals with the analysis of national statistics of insurance fraud in all areas of insurance, as well as the estimated numbers in a surveyed area of insurance. The aim was to determine factors leading to insurance fraud and evaluate risk groups of these crimes. These findings could be used to propose preventative measures. The third chapter therefore examines the attitude of modern society toward insurance fraud. It also explores the use of an online questionnaire in an attempt to build a profile of the average insurance fraud offender. Following chapter outlines the preventive and repressive measures, while the fifth chapter describes the detection and investigation of insurance fraud in practice. The sixth chapter presents specific cases of insurance fraud detected in surveyed area of insurance fraud. In the conclusion, the thesis summarizes findings and reserves as well as suggestions for improvement.
Insurance Fraud in the Field of Real Estate - Deliberately Started Fires

The diploma thesis deals with insurance fraud and issues which comes with it. The thesis is divided into several units. The first part is dedicated to insurance fraud in general, the insurance industry in the past and in the present and legislation in the past and in the present in the area of today´s Czech Republic. The thesis continue with analyzing of fraudulent behavior according to perpetrator and type of insurance. The next is statistical evaluation. In the part “Detection of insurance fraud” are summarized current methods of detection of the insurance frauds used by insurance companies in our market. There were also analyzed insurance frauds according to perpetrator, economic sector and insurance company. In the end is presented the case study of purpose action, suggestions suitable for the fight with insurance fraud and there is also offered as another technical possibility of help not only in the fight with insurance fraud - mathematical modeling of fires.

The teoretical part describes characteristics of insuracne fraud itselfs, its classification, profile of fraud perpetor and reason of committing instance fraud at all. The next part describes detection of insurance fraud and the subsecvent procedure in investigating insurance fraud. The goal of practical part of diploma thesis is analysis of insurance fraud and questionnaire survey. There will be describe the prevetion of insurance fraud and in the end, there will be several specific cases of insurance fraud.
